Dohar is an enormously popular musical troupe, whose dedication to authenticity and the folk tradition remains pristine in the face of eroding musical values.

They characterize themselves as "an endless journey of music having strong connections with the root, on one hand, and going beyond all boundaries, on the other."

With songs from various generes like baul, bhatiyali , bhawayia, chatka (list goes on)and being famous for playing all rare and ethnic folk instruments of various types and regions this performance will surely be a unique experience.

We are pleased to announce the details of the 2014 Lakshmi Puja. The Puja will be held on the forthcoming Saturday at the Hindu Mandir.

Date: Oct 11, 2014 (Saturday)

Time: 5-30 pm till End of our Puja Dinner. Hopefully, we will be able to close between 9-30pm to 10-00 pm

Venue - Hindu Temple of Minnesota

Program: Lakshmi Puja, Anjali, Shantijol, Prasad Distribution and Bhog/Dinner

If you are interested to volunteer for any of the following areas then please contact bam.lakshmi.puja@gmail.com.

- Onsite help for making khichuri, payesh, luchi etc. - arrival time 3PM
- Puja Preparation (decoration, fruit cutting etc.) – arrival time 4:30PM
- Volunteers for making chutney, misti (sandesh or naru) from home
